I wanted to go to the West Lake, but there were people everywhere, so I chose Ningbo, which is more than 100 kilometers away from Hangzhou. Ningbo is closely related to water. It is the birthplace of "Hemudu culture" with a civilization history of more than 7000 years. In the Tang Dynasty, Ningbo became one of the starting points of the "maritime Silk Road", and together with Yangzhou and Guangzhou, it was known as China's three major foreign trade ports. In the Song Dynasty, Guangzhou and Quanzhou were listed as the three major foreign trade ports. After the Opium War, it was established as one of the "five major trading ports".

Dongqian Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Zhejiang Province, is also known as the back garden of Ningbo, which is three times larger than the West Lake in Hangzhou. Stone carvings of Southern Song Dynasty

It is strange and familiar to me to mention the stone carving Park of the Southern Song Dynasty. Ningbo, a few years ago, was the first stop to participate in free tourism. At that time, I was totally playing with tourism. When I came to Ningbo a few days ago, I couldn't remember where I had been. It was not until I walked into the stone carving Park of the Southern Song Dynasty that I suddenly remembered that I had been here.

The stone carving Park of Southern Song Dynasty is located at the foot of Huangmei mountain, shangshuixiazhuang, on the East Bank of Dongqian Lake, which is known as "Taihu Lake spirit and Xizi charm". Dongqian Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in Zhejiang Province, four times larger than Hangzhou West Lake.

In the history of stone carving in China, it is described as follows: "in the north there are terracotta warriors and horses of the Qin mausoleum, and in the south there are stone carvings of Qianqian lake.". There are few stone carvings of Shinto in the Southern Song Dynasty, but the large scale, large quantity, fine carving, concentrated distribution and perfect preservation of stone carvings in the eastern Qian and Hunan Song dynasties are the only ones in China.

When you enter the stone carving Park of the Southern Song Dynasty, you will first come to the stone carving Museum of the Southern Song Dynasty, which mainly introduces the history of the Southern Song Dynasty and the development of stone carving art, and displays many stone people and stone beasts.

Walking into the courtyard of the museum, I saw five huge figures, named Wen Chen, Wu Jiang, crouching tiger, immediately, kneeling sheep. It represents "loyalty, bravery, chastity, righteousness and filial piety", which vividly represents the historical and cultural landscape at that time.

When you come out of the museum, you walk along the right side, which is the way to look forward to. The total length of the road is more than 130 meters. It is composed of the footpath connecting the three platforms, the stone carving square of the Southern Song Dynasty and the memorial altar, in which almost all the precious stone carvings of the Southern Song Dynasty are displayed.

Through an old memorial archway in Qing Dynasty style, that is, the first terrace. It is the way to look up to the top of the ladder, and the stone tigers of the Song Dynasty stand on both sides. In the middle of the road of reverence, the second terrace is surrounded by a restored Ming Dynasty style archway, stumps and ruins. The wall is inlaid with several inscriptions and many old stone reliefs.

At the end of the road is an old memorial archway of Song Dynasty style. The third platform behind the archway is the largest of the three platforms, on which there is a stone carving square of the Southern Song Dynasty. On both sides of the square, there are two rows of old pillar bases with "foundation without column". The square uses the natural slope of the platform to form a display platform of five stone sculptures of the Southern Song Dynasty. There are more than 70 stone statues of civil servants and warriors in the tombs of the Southern Song Dynasty.

Due to the opening hours of the scenic spot, we can't finish all of them. Nowadays, there are many scenic spots in the park, such as exhibition room, the way of looking forward, the model of a hundred generations, the way of auspiciousness, the vicissitudes of history, the clothes and crowns of the Southern Song Dynasty, the tomb road of Shijian, the integrity of LUMO, and so on. There are more than 200 stone carvings in the whole park, with exquisite workmanship and realistic modeling.

Most of China's stone carvings are concentrated in Buddhist grottoes and royal mausoleums, with the exception of the Southern Song Dynasty. The Southern Song emperors, who were partial to the south of the Yangtze River, dreamed that they could rest in peace at the mausoleum of the Song Dynasty in Gongxian County, Henan Province. Dongqian Lake and its surrounding areas are the most important tombs of the four prime ministers in the Southern Song Dynasty. Shi Hao, Shi Miyuan, Zheng Qingzhi and Shi Songzhi's political career almost covers the five most important periods in the history of the Southern Song Dynasty: Gao, Xiao, Guang, Ning and Li. Their stone carvings fill the research gaps in the history of art, cultural relics and archaeology, and the history of carving art in the Southern Song Dynasty.

Is it as famous as "the eighth wonder of the world, terracotta warriors and horses"? We can imagine the status of stone carving Park in the Southern Song Dynasty.

Shangshui tent camp

Xiaoputuo, also known as "Xiayu", is located in the center of Dongqian Lake.

Generally, people who come to Dongqian Lake must come here. The speedboat arrived at xiaoputuo scenic spot in less than ten minutes.

The entrance of the scenic spot is near Taogong village, and the wharf is next to Guanyin on the water.

From the dock, you come to Xiayu, the core area of xiaoputuo scenic spot. After entering the scenic area, Guanyin on the water is on the left, which is also a landmark landscape here. The incense is very popular, and many tourists take photos here.

Go on, on the right hand side is Xiayu temple. Xiayu temple was built in the Song Dynasty. Although the temple we see now was rebuilt later, the buildings and sculptures inside are quite exquisite, which is very worth visiting.

The most famous one in the temple is "Bu Tuo cave". Shi Hao, a temple builder in the Song Dynasty, imitated the Chaoyin cave in Putuo Mountain to comfort his blind mother who could not go to Putuo to worship Buddha. Now there are some stone carvings and some small Buddha statues in it.

In addition, there is a stone building "Western boat" in the temple, which is especially suitable for taking photos. If you have time to board the boat, the beautiful scenery of Dongqian Lake can be described as panoramic.

From Xiayu temple, you will pass a bridge. The scenery on the bridge is very beautiful. It's a pity that the weather was bad at that time. Because of the hot weather at that time, I didn't choose to continue, but returned to the water near Guanyin.

We choose to go back to Taogong village on the dike. The long dike, named Taogong dike, spans the lake with a total length of 2 kilometers and has beautiful scenery along the road.

Along the way, there are yuebolou square, children's amusement park, animal sculpture, Matsushima and other places. You can choose to walk, or you can choose a sightseeing bus or bicycle.

From the scenic spot, we choose to return to the hotel at the nearby dock.
